1877 1C AU58 NGC. Die Pair 1. Muted luster on the obverse mingles with gold and purple on this key-date example, while the reverse is a more-uniform reddish-brown. On Die Pair 1, the 18 in the date just about touch, although here the clash marks on the reverse above the O in ONE are scarcely seen.
