Problem-Free, Dark Brown Surfaces
1877 1C AU58 PCGS. Here is a coin that is on many a
collector's want list, a near-Mint 1877 Indian cent. This key is
wanted in all grades, and in AU gives the collector almost all the
detailing and much of the luster (although now brown) of an
Uncirculated coin. The surfaces are even, dark brown with no
mentionable surface problems. The strike is slightly soft over each
side, but this is a minor aspect in the overall consideration of
