Description
In-Demand 1877 Cent, MS64 Red and Brown
1877 1C MS64 Red and Brown NGC. Shallow N. Die Pair 1, per Snow. The 18 in the date nearly touch, and the reverse shows the usual die clashing from the jaw-neck juncture above the O in ONE. Light tan patina is more extensive and deeper on the reverse of this near-Gem. The top diamond is sharp, and parts of the middle diamonds show. Light obverse marks limit the grade, but this is nevertheless a nice example of this key date.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2284, PCGS# 2128, GSID# 1345)
