1877 Indian Cent, MS65 Brown
Satiny Original Luster
1877 1C MS65 Brown PCGS. This is the historical key-date
among Indian cents and is seldom encountered in Gem Mint State
condition, even in the Brown color category. This example is fully
lustrous with satiny fields. The devices are very sharply defined,
and traces of original mint red still cling to the most protected
portions of the fields around the border legends. Only a few small
abrasions deny an even finer grade from PCGS. PCGS Population: 19
in 65 Brown, 1 finer (11/25).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2004), lot 5234.(Registry values: N4719)
