Cherry-Red 1878 Cent, MS65
1878 1C MS65 Red PCGS. The 1878 followed a downward trend from the early to mid-1870s of low cent production. However, it is significantly higher than the previous year with nearly 5.8 million pieces minted. The surfaces have rich cherry-red mint luster over each side with a deeper outline of red around the margins.
