Description

1880 1C Doubled Die Obverse, Clashed Reverse, Snow-1, FS-101, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. Heavily clashed on the reverse from misaligned dies, FS-101 shows the impression of border dentils in an arc from the top right of the shield down through the E in ONE. On the obverse, LIBERTY exhibits slight die doubling. This Red and Brown Gem is mostly copper-orange in color, showing only traces of burgundy toning. It is well-struck and appealing.
