Description

1885 Cent, Rich MS66 Red
Sharp and Rare

1885 1C MS66 Red PCGS. This otherwise plentiful Indian cent issue is conditionally elusive in full Red grades. Most such coins are found in MS64 or MS65, and rarely is a Premium Gem represented. This delightful example is among the finest seen with complete mint Red. The surfaces display a rich old-time copper-red glow with bold design elements emerging from frosty fields. There are no mentionable abrasions, and the only detected carbon spot is hidden in the lower-right corner of the reverse shield. Population: 17 in 66 Red, 0 finer (11/15).(Registry values: N2998)
