Description
Coveted 1888/7 Cent, Snow-1, FS-301
1888/7 1C PCGS Genuine. FS-301, formerly FS-010. Snow-1. The diagnostic cud is present on the rim near the E in UNITED. The key date of the Indian cent series, and desirable in any grade, let alone with little if any wear. Satin luster shimmers across the unmarked surfaces, which were apparently recolored at one time. Since retoned a deceptive deep brown on the obverse, while the reverse is a less convincing shade of mahogany-brown. Still an important piece that will command significant specialist attention during its fleeting auction appearance.(Registry values: P10, N10)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 228G, PCGS# 2169, GSID# 1458)
