Snow-1, Scarce
Guide Book Variety

1888/7 1C Snow-1, FS-301, VF30 PCGS. The tip of an underlying 7 is evident at the lower edge of the final 8, and the point of the flag is seen at the upper-left corner of the same. This overdate is one of the most sought-after varieties in the Indian cent series, and its attribution is easily confirmed by the presence of a small rim cud at 9 o'clock on the obverse. This is a mid-grade circulated example with original chocolate-brown patina. The level of detail is in keeping with the grade. Population: 3 in 30, 13 finer (6/15).
