1896 Cent, MS66+ Red
CAC Approved, Vibrant Luster
1896 1C MS66+ Red PCGS. CAC. Ex: Bender Collection. A
plentiful Philadelphia issue, although not as plentiful in the
upper Red grades as later issues from this mint. The present coin
displays vibrant copper-gold and light orange color throughout
unabraded surfaces and well-defined motifs. The peripheral fields
exhibit metal flow from an advanced die state, adding to the
strength of the cartwheel effect. Population: 40 in 66 (9 in 66+)
