Conditionally Scarce Type Coin

1898 1C MS67 Red PCGS. Ex: Bender Collection. The availability of the 1898 Indian cent overall makes it suitable for type purposes, but Superb Gem Red pieces are conditionally rare. This is among the finest pieces certified. Sharp devices and satiny luster are largely unabraded and carbon free. The obverse is rich copper-red, while the reverse trends more golden in color. Population: 18 in 67 (2 in 67+) Red, 0 finer (9/25).
