    First S-Mint Cent Issue

    1908-S 1C MS65+ Red PCGS. CAC. The first cent issue struck at the San Francisco Mint, the 1908-S is nonetheless usually overshadowed by the lower-mintage 1909-S Indian. This MS65+ Red example boasts orange-yellow surfaces that show deep luster and an unusually strong strike for the issue.
    Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2014), lot 3066, where it brought $3,069.10.(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 2296, PCGS# 2234)
