Description

1908-S Cent, MS66 Red
Just One Coin Graded Higher

1908-S 1C MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. Branch mints refrained from the production of cents until 1908, when the San Francisco Mint struck 1.1 million Indian Head representatives. Aside from being a popular semikey, the 1908-S is a legitimate condition rarity in MS66 Red. Slight softness occurs on the feathertips and shield, but the eye appeal more than compensates. Each side emits frosty luster over copper-gold surfaces. A single mark under (S)T(ATES) acts as a pedigree identifier. Population: 59 in 66 (4 in 66+) Red, 1 finer. CAC: 14 in 66, 0 finer (10/17).
