    Description

1909-S Indian Head Cent, MS64 Red
    Splendid, Bright-Orange Appeal

1909-S 1C MS64 Red PCGS. CAC. Ex: Teich Family Collection. A key issue in the series and arguably more scarce than its Lincoln cent counterparts, the 1909-S Indian cent seems undervalued. Both the obverse and reverse surfaces of this pleasing San Francisco cent are unencumbered and appear refreshingly new. Bright orange color with red accents cover clean, lustrous surfaces without any mentionable abrasions. One small defect appears on the reverse near the T of CENT, and perhaps some slight rounding of the headdress feathers are all that limit the near-Gem grade of this splendid key issue.
