Description

1909-S Indian Cent, MS66 Red
Lowest-Mintage Issue

1909-S 1C MS66 Red PCGS. There were just 309,000 Indian cents struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1909 as that facility began the transition to the new Lincoln design. This amazing Premium Gem has brilliant deep orange luster and bold design definition save for weakness at the first few headdress feathers. Such weakness is characteristic of the 1909-S Indian Head issue. Attractive lilac accents embellish this coin's full Red surfaces. PCGS Population: 44 in 66 (10 in 66+), 3 finer (3/26).
