    1865 Indian Cent, PR66 Red and Brown
    Deep Cherry Red and Cobalt-Blue Colors

    1865 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS Secure. Ex: Larry Shepherd Collection. Remarkable color. Both sides display deep cherry-red with a mix of cobalt-blue thrown in. The obverse takes on an almost cameo appearance with most of the blue over the central device. On the reverse the red and blue is intermixed to give that side a slightly purple appearance. The deep mirrors in the fields serve to highlight the richness of the colors. Population: 9 in 66 Red and Brown, 0 finer (11/18).
