    Description

1867 Cent, PR66 Red and Brown
    Gorgeous Color, Reflective Mirrors

1867 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS Secure. Ex: The Larry Shepherd Collection. All 625 Indian Head cents manufactured in 1867 were struck from a single set of frequently repolished dies, often resulting in thin lettering and separated dentils, according to Rick Snow. This Premium Gem proof is clearly from an early state of those dies. The mirrors are deeply reflective, about as attractive as one could hope to find. Design detail is complete. Most appealing is the vibrant multicolor patina that swathes each side in shades of copper-orange, violet, sea-green and magenta. Population: 17 in 66 Red and Brown, 0 finer in this category (10/18).

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229K, PCGS# 2289)

    Weight: 3.11 grams
