    Description

Lustrous MS65 Red 1909-S Indian Cent

1909-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. Eagle Eye Photo Seal. Only 309,000 pieces were struck of this final-year Indian Cent, creating a key issue that rivals the 1877 in desirability. This is a lovely piece that has smooth, lustrous surfaces that are slightly varied in hue with lighter, more orange-tinted centers and deeper reddish margins. A bit softly struck, as always seen on this issue, with no obvious abrasions or carbon spots. Population: 99 in 65, 10 finer (4/03).
From the Mark Van Deusen Collection.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2298, PCGS# 2240)

    Weight: 3.11 grams
