1907 $10 No Motto MS64 PCGS....
Description
1907 Eagle, MS64
No Motto, Clean and Colorful
1907 $10 No Motto MS64 PCGS. This attractive and well-struck
Indian eagle is one of the 239,406 pieces produced for the
inaugural No Periods issue of this beautiful and popular series.
The heavily collected issue is plentiful through Choice
Uncirculated, becoming more challenging through Premium Gem and
conditionally rare any finer. While the grade is limited by a faint
star-shaped imprint on Liberty's upper cheekbone and a set of graze
marks on the eagle's upper wing, the remainder of this example is
remarkably clean. Green-gold surfaces layered in satiny luster have
strong undertones of orange and flash occasional hints of lilac
within a vibrant cartwheel effect. This example in MS64 is a
visually pleasing piece from the short-lived No Motto design of
Augustus Saint-Gaudens.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28GF, PCGS# 8852, Greysheet# 9746)
