Description
Splendid 1907 No Periods Ten, MS64
1907 $10 No Periods MS64 NGC. The first Indian eagles were minted in 1907 with periods punctuating the reverse lettering. The Charles Barber No Periods modification followed, and it was this second group of coins that formed the majority of 1907 tens, with a mintage of 239,406 coins. The No Periods design was struck in 1907 and 1908, and was then followed by the remaining series of Indian tens that had the addition of IN GOD WE TRUST on the reverse. This example is a splendid Choice Mint State piece with full frosty luster and brilliant yellow surfaces with faint orange accents. From The JTR Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
