Description
1908-D Motto Indian Eagle, MS62
Upper-End for the Grade
1908-D $10 Motto MS62 PCGS. The 1908-D With Motto Indian
eagle is one of the more elusive dates in the series in high
grades. Low-end Mint State pieces are easily obtainable, but this
issue becomes notably scarce in MS63 and finer. This example
displays satiny pale-gold luster and is surprisingly void of any
significant abrasions, an unusual characteristic for an MS62-graded
coin. The eagle's facing shoulder is not fully defined, but this
hardly inhibits the eye appeal.Ex: New York Signature (Heritage, 10/2014), lot 4389.(Registry values: N1793)
