Description
1908-D Indian Eagle, MS63
Branch Mint No Motto Issue
1908-D $10 No Motto MS63 PCGS. From an adequate mintage of
210,000 pieces, the 1908-D is the only branch mint No Motto issue
in the Indian Head eagle series. Examples are surprisingly elusive
at the MS63 grade level, and finer coins are definitely scarce.
This impressive Select example exhibits well-detailed design
elements, with just a touch of softness on the lower headdress
feathers. The lustrous orange-gold surfaces are lightly marked for
the grade. PCGS has graded 77 numerically finer examples
(12/25).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28GH, PCGS# 8854, Greysheet# 9759)
Weight: 16.72 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
