    Description

    1908-D Indian Ten, MS64
    No Motto

1908-D $10 No Motto MS64 PCGS. CAC. The No Motto 1908-D Indian eagles were the first branch mint coins of the type. Perhaps the mintmark location wasn't thoroughly considered when the dies arrived from Philadelphia, as the small D mintmark is located inside the reverse rim at about 8:30, well above the terminal leaves of the olive branch. Beginning with the 1908 With Motto issue, and continuing through the end of the series, the mintmark was relocated to the end of the arrowheads, below the branch. This exquisite Choice Mint State example has soft, frosty yellow-gold luster with brilliant, pristine surfaces and an abundance of eye appeal. Population: 62 in 64 (6 in 64+), 9 finer. CAC: 11 in 64, 4 finer (1/18).(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28GH, PCGS# 8854)

    Weight: 16.72 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper

Thanks to Heritage I realized a handsome profit for my coin submissions and intend to send most of the remainder of my collection to Heritage Auction Galleries for future auctions.
