Description

1908-S Eagle, MS62
Exceptional Type Coin

1908-S $10 MS62 PCGS. The 1908-S mintage of eagles was the third lowest from the San Francisco Mint, producing just 59,850 coins. The strike is pleasing with ample sharpness and with expected but acceptable weakness within Liberty's hair. There are a myriad of abrasions and marks along the devices, including a curious strikethrough at the 8 in the date. Despite the low mintage, the date has an exceptional survivorship and is a welcome type coin.(Registry values: N2998)
