Description

Frosty, Mattelike MS62 1909-D Eagle

1909-D $10 MS62 NGC. The 1909-D is usually a well-produced issue but examples are often abraded. This piece is typical, with light ticks on the Indian's face and neck and a few scattered over the reverse. The copper-gold surfaces display frosty, mattelike luster, and the strike is bold but not full, with softness on the highest points of each side.(Registry values: N1793)
