Description

Elusive 1909-D Indian Eagle MS62

1909-D $10 MS62 PCGS. Although Denver coined more than 3.4 million half eagles in 1909, the Midwestern facility's production of eagles was much more frugal: only 121,540 pieces were struck. The issue is understandably scarce at the MS62 level, and the few Gems are out of reach for most collectors. This suitably struck and lustrous representative has minimally abraded fields and only a few thin marks on the portrait.(Registry values: N1793)
