Description

Well-Struck 1909-D Eagle, MS63

1909-D $10 MS63 NGC. Akers' gold coin Handbook calls the 1909-D eagle "one of the most underrated condition rarities" in the Indian Head series, an issue that is "rare even in MS-64." This Select coin displays generous luster over orange-gold surfaces, with a few contact marks on the high points that preclude an even finer grade. NGC has certified only 36 examples finer than this well-struck coin (6/10).(Registry values: N2998)
