Description

Condition Scarcity 1909-S Ten Dollar, MS64

1909-S $10 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1909-S is one of the most difficult issues in the entire Indian Head ten dollar series to locate in Gem condition. Even obtaining a near-Gem example will take patient searching. Strong luster adorns the peach-gold surfaces of this MS64 piece, and an attentive strike leaves nice detail on the design elements. A hair-thin mark on the cheek and another in the left obverse field keep from the MS65 level. Population: 42 in 64, 22 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
