Description

1910-S Eagle, MS63
Rare 'Triple S' Variety

1910-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Breen's "Triple S" Variety, which he described in his Complete Encyclopedia as being extremely rare. While it is likely more common than Breen thought, it remains quite scarce and is an interesting and dramatic example of a repunched mintmark. While the 1910 boasts the highest mintage of any San Francisco Indian eagle, several other years report greater numbers of certified Uncirculated examples. This Select piece has tremendous eye appeal for the grade level, with orange-tinged toning, impressive luster, and fewer abrasions than usually seen. A worthy choice for most collections.
