Description

1911 Indian Eagle, MS66
Terrific Mint Luster

1911 $10 MS66 NGC. Indian eagles in the higher Mint State grades are wonderful type coins that are always the subject of intense collector interest. They of course show the progressive "other Saint-Gaudens design" to marvelous effect, and their status as large and beautiful gold coins also lends added appeal. Collectors are fortunate that this available issue is generally well-produced, with a bold strike and excellent luster. This Premium Gem example is no exception, boasting terrific, frosted, swirling mint luster over fine-grained, pebbly surfaces. The strike is sharp, and there are no mentionable marks on either side. Census: 51 in 66, 11 finer (2/10).
