1911-D $10 MS62 PCGS....
Description
1911-D Indian Eagle, MS62
Low-Mintage Series Rarity
1911-D $10 MS62 PCGS. With a minuscule mintage of 30,100
pieces, the 1911-D Indian eagle is the leading condition rarity of
the Indian ten series. Even in lower Mint State grades, the 1911-D
is seldom encountered and the issue is very scarce in grades above
MS62. The obverse of this original MS62 example is sharply struck,
avoiding the usual softness often seen on the leading edge of the
eagle's wing and leg feathers. Lustrous, straw-gold surfaces show
the minimum number of minor contact marks for the grade and the
natural eye appeal is compelling.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28GU, PCGS# 8869, Greysheet# 9766)
