Description

1911-D Ten Dollar, MS63
Low-Mintage Denver Issue

1911-D $10 MS63 PCGS. The 1911-D is a semikey date in the Indian eagle series. It is much more plentiful than the 1920-S, 1930-S, and 1933, but it boasts a mintage that is lower than all of these issues, at just 30,100 pieces. Typical examples seen grade in lightly circulated AU condition, with occasional offerings of low-end Mint State pieces. The 1911-D is notably rare finer than the current MS63 coin.

Satiny orange-gold luster complements sharply detailed design elements, while a loupe reveals light marks on Liberty's profile and in the reverse field that deny a finer grade. Overall eye appeal is pleasing for the MS63 level. Population: 50 in 63 (4 in 63+), 24 finer (12/25).(Registry values: N4719)
