Description

1911-S $10 MS61 PCGS. For many years the 1911-S was considered a great rarity in Mint State and while that has changed with the repatriation of numerous gold coins from Europe, this low mintage issue is still scarcer in high grades than most Indian Head eagles. Attractive yellow-gold patina graces both sides of this boldly defined piece. Scattered abrasions limit the grade, but all are trivial. (Registry values: N1793)
