Description
1912-S Ten Dollar Indian, MS65
Remarkable Condition Rarity
1912-S $10 MS65 PCGS. As an issue overall, the 1912-S is
positioned in the middle of the 32 issues in the ten dollar Indian
series, but it is in Uncirculated grades that it is best known. Few
were set aside in mint condition, and of the ones that were most
are not better than MS62. At the Gem level, the 1912-S is a
stand-up-and-take-notice rarity. PCGS has only certified 12 others
in MS65 with one piece finer (2/16). The surfaces exhibit bright
mint frost over sharply struck devices and fine-grain mattelike
texturing. As one would expect from a Gem, there are no noticeable
abrasions on either side.(Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28GX, PCGS# 8872, Greysheet# 9768)
Weight: 16.72 grams
