Description

1913 Indian Eagle, MS65
Elusive Issue in Finer Grades

1913 $10 MS65 PCGS. A plethora of low-end Mint State pieces on the market might make this Philadelphia issue seem unimpressive, but if one seeks a piece of Gem quality, this date is revealed as a significant challenge. The present coin is boldly struck and vibrantly lustrous, showcasing honey-gold patina with emerging shades of lilac and mint-green. A few faint grazes on the cheek preclude an even finer grade. PCGS has graded 25 numerically finer examples (3/26).
