Description

Near-Mint 1913-S Indian Eagle
Second Rarest Issue in High Grade

1913-S $10 AU58 NGC. From a tiny mintage of 66,000 pieces, the 1913-S is the second rarest Indian eagle in high grade. The present coin is an attractive near-Mint specimen with light greenish-gold surfaces. The striking details are sharp and the surfaces are lightly abraded. There is a curious, semicircular area of roughness that affects the first two numerals of the date. This phenomenon is seen on many examples of this issue.(Registry values: N1793)
