Description

Scarce Near-Mint 1913-S Indian Ten

1913-S $10 AU58 PCGS. CAC. From a mintage of just 66,000 pieces, the 1913-S is understandable elusive in all grades. Gold coins still circulated in the West in 1913 because of its hard money tradition, and most '13-S survivors are in XF to AU grades. The present lustrous canary-gold slider shows slight wear on the eagle's plumage, but marks of any size are difficult to find.(Registry values: N1793)
