Description

Key-Date 1913-S Indian Ten, AU58

1913-S $10 AU58 PCGS. In their Encyclopedia of U.S. Gold Coins, Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth write that the 1913-S is "the undisputed key to the series." While 66,000 examples were coined, ranking the date as the sixth lowest mintage issue, the survival rate was quite low, placing additional emphasis on the 1913-S. This near-Mint example has deep honey-gold surfaces with frosty luster. Both sides have considerable olive patina on the design high points.(Registry values: N1793)
