Description

1914 Indian Eagle, MS65
Rare CAC-Approved Example

1914 $10 MS65 NGC. CAC. The 1914 Indian eagle is scarce in MS65 and highly sought after among advanced series specialists, but such coins are still seen with enough frequency that they do not present a significant challenge. However, that scarcity turns to significant rarity when CAC endorsement is added as a criteria. Gem 1914 tens with CAC endorsement are seldom seen. In fact, this is only the second such coin we have handled within the past six years.

A sharp strike complements vibrant yellow-gold luster and exceptionally clean fields. A loupe reveals only the faintest marks on Liberty's cheek, which is otherwise pristine. Census: 50 in 65 (2 in 65+), 11 finer. CAC: 15 in 65, 8 finer (6/23).(Registry values: N4719)
