Description

Pleasing 1914-S Indian Eagle, MS61

1914-S $10 MS61 NGC. From a mintage of 208,000 pieces, the 1914-S Indian eagle is not too difficult to locate in lower Mint State grades, but high grade examples are rare. The present coin displays pleasing yellow-gold surfaces, with hints of rose color. The strike shows a little softness on Liberty's hair and the lower headdress feathers, but other design elements are well defined. Bright, original luster is evident and a short scratch on Liberty's neck is the only mark of note.(Registry values: N1793)
