Description

1915 Ten Dollar, MS66
Rarely Seen Any Finer

1915 $10 MS66 NGC. The 1915 Indian ten is an available date in the series up to and including the Gem Uncirculated classification. Premium Gem examples such as the present coin are notably scarce and finer coins are prohibitively rare. No more Indian ten dollar coins were struck until 1926, making the 1915 date a capstone of sorts for the early series dates. This is a richly frosted Premium Gem that displays the usual sharp strike that typifies the 1915 issue. Only a few inconsequential marks are seen under a loupe, including a brief scattering of pinpoint carbon flecks that are infrequent and microscopic in size. Thick mint frost envelops the attractive orange-gold coloration. Census: 25 in 66 (1 in 66+, 1 in 66 ), 4 finer (12/25).(Registry values: N4719)
