Description

Impressive 1915-S Indian Eagle, MS64

1915-S $10 MS64 NGC. With a mintage of only 59,000 coins, the 1915-S automatically qualifies as a rarity in 20th century numismatics. It easily makes the top 10 list of important Indian eagles, a list that includes the 1907 Rolled Edge, 1913-S, 1920-S, and 1933 issues, among others. The 1915-S is also a condition rarity. NGC and PCGS have graded just 32 examples in MS64, and only 13 coins in higher grades.
This frosty light yellow-gold specimen just misses the Gem grade category because of a few tiny abrasions on each side. It is sharply defined, even at the centers, and exhibits impressive eye appeal. Census: 12 in 64, 6 finer (9/09).(Registry values: N7079)
