Description
1915-S Indian Ten, MS64
Elusive Any Finer
1915-S $10 MS64 NGC. With a mintage of only 59,000 coins,
the 1915-S automatically qualifies as a rarity in 20th century
numismatics. It easily makes the top 10 list of important Indian
eagles, a list that includes the 1907 Rolled Edge, 1913-S, 1920-S,
and 1933 issues, among others. The 1915-S is also a condition
rarity. This frosty light yellow-gold specimen just misses the Gem grade category due to a few tiny abrasions on each side. It is sharply defined, even at the centers, and exhibits impressive eye appeal. Census: 12 in 64, 4 finer (11/13).
