Conditionally Elusive 1916-S Ten, MS62

1916-S $10 MS62 NGC. All San Francisco Indian tens are conditionally rare relative to their Philadelphia Mint counterparts. This is because of the hard money tradition of the West Coast, where Federal paper money remained unpopular until late in the 19th century. The present lustrous and lower mintage example is clean aside from a few minor facial marks.(Registry values: N1793)
