Description

Lustrous and Attractively Toned Gem 1932 Ten Dollar

1932 $10 MS65 PCGS. A magnificent Gem ten Indian whose strong suit is its thick mint frost. The surfaces exude a rich, frosted sheen that is unaffected by the normally heavy abrasions one expects from this date. Attractive pinkish-rose and lilac patina is interspersed over each side also, giving the coin an even greater degree of visual appeal. The striking details are also uncommonly strong for this date.(#8884) (Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 28HB, PCGS# 8884)

The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens as Illustrated by the Morse and Duckor Collections
Revised Edition by James L. Halperin, Mark R. Borckardt, Mark Van Winkle, Jon Amato, and Gregory J. Rohan, with special contributor David W. Akers

The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens is an issue-by-issue examination of these two artistically inspired series of gold coins. Each date and mintmark is reviewed with up-to-date information, much of which has never been previously published. The book is based on two extraordinary collections: The Phillip H. Morse collection and the Dr. and Mrs. Steven L. Duckor collection.

I received the catalog and was very impressed with its color illustrations, descriptions and attractive layout. (It has better production values than the New York houses.)
