1911-D Ten Dollar, MS63
Condition Rarity in the Series
1911-D $10 MS63 PCGS. CAC. The 1911-D ten dollar is one of
the keys to the series, in great part to its mintage of only 30,100
pieces. It is best known, though, as a condition rarity with
Uncirculated coins of greater and greater scarcity as the grade
climbs. Probably fewer than 50 individual pieces are known today in
MS63 with 25 to 30 examples in higher grades. For the few pieces
that are known in the better grades of Mint State luster is not a
problem. This piece displays even, reddish-tinted mint luster. The
surfaces are notably free from abrasions, as reinforced by the CAC
endorsement. From The Kodiak Collection. (Registry values: N4719)
