Description

1908 Indian Half Eagle, MS64+
Attractive First-Year Type Coin

1908 $5 MS64+ PCGS. The 1908 is an available date due to many examples being saved at the time of issue for the novelty of the sunken relief design. This makes it popular as a type coin, and collectors can be selective when acquiring an example. The present piece displays a bold strike and rich honey-gold luster with a remarkably clean reverse. Only some faint marks in the obverse fields prevent full Gem classification.(Registry values: N2998)
