Description

Lustrous 1908 Five Dollar, MS64

1908 $5 MS64 PCGS. The 1908 Indian Head half eagle is relatively common in Mint Sate grades, as many were saved as the first year of issue. This near-Gem possesses nice luster on its peach-gold surfaces, and exhibits well struck design features, save for minor softness on the eagle's shoulder. Minuscule marks on the raised fields, especially of the upper reverse, prevent Gem status.(Registry values: N2998)
