1908 $5 MS64 PCGS. This bright, satiny near-Gem displays rich honey-gold coloration and surprisingly intense mint luster for the type. Well struck with a Gemlike appearance on the obverse, and just a couple of wispy field marks on the reverse that prevent a finer grade assessment. An extremely popular first-year issue of the new Indian Head design type. (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DE, PCGS# 8510, GSID# 9308)
