Description

Luminous Choice 1908 Indian Half Eagle

1908 $5 MS64 PCGS. The glowing surfaces of this near-Gem are an attractive blend of yellow-orange and peach. Pleasingly detailed with an uncommonly clean obverse, though the reverse displays several pinpoint marks in the fields. The Pratt quarter eagle and half eagle designs debuted to a mixed reception in 1908, though the design has gained widespread numismatic and artistic acceptance in the years since its passing from circulation.(Registry values: N2998)
